You can influence your tinnitus with your mind!

Sounds way out there?

It might be, but everyting is in your mind. Your mind has the power over everything. It can heal your body and influnces who you are.

So clearly when you have tinnitus you need to work on your mind, but what do you need to work on?

I already told you about two books I read on this topic, but I wanted to look deeper into it.

I for one need to work on positive thinking. Ever since my ear ringing has gotten to a point that it makes my life a living hell, I have become a more and more negative person.

Now it is time to reverse that.

Once you are a negative person, how can you reverse that? Well, of course it is not easy but it isn´t impossible. You just need some determination and work on yourself.

There are so many books on positive thinking out there, that it is hard to choose from.

One thing that you can always do, is to trim your mind to positive thinking….is to use positve affirmationtions.

I know, I also thought that it sounds ridiculous.

I mean, you probably have come across it on the internet before. Positive affirmations are all over the place right now. And I have used some before, I remember putting post-its on the mirror with little messages for me.

So what is a positive affirmation exactly?

It is basically just a positive sentence. That sentence you tell yourself over and over again. It can be about any topic. About your body, work, relationship, health…..

I just did it without any plan and didn´t read them that much. One important thing with positive affirmations is to repeat the same affirmation over and over again. Every day a few times at least. I worked with things that I want in live, but as I am not very easily convinced I had contrary thoughts most of the time.

I „found“ Louise Hay a few months back, she is a very famous and great teacher of positive thinking.

I downloaded a few of her positive affirmation and meditation audios and I signed up for her newsletter.

I listen now everyday to „positive affirmations to change your life“, it is supposed ot help you to leave your negative thoughts behind and to think positive again. I told you about the books from Dr. Joseph Murray (  ) and Pierre Franckh ( ), but putting their approach into action myself isn´t very easy for me. Listening to her audios, saying the affirmations for me really helped me staying on top of it and now two months later I already feel more confortable in my skin again and I also sense that I don´t think as negative anymore.

I still have ways to go, but I notice a change and that is what I was looking for. Hope. Change. A way out of this negative cycle my tinnitus put me in or rather in which I put myself because of my tinnitus.
